Due to many users working off-campus due to the COVID19 pandemic, you may now download Jabber to your personally owned laptop. After campus resumes normal operations, this permission may be revoked. If you are working off-campus, do not use Jabber to call 911. Please use your personally-owned telephone for 911 calls.

Our campus uses to Cisco VoIP for our phone system. Employees can use the phone system through a physical phone, as well as through software called Jabber.   1. In order for Jabber to work off campus you will need to install VPN

  2. Once VPN is installed and running, you are ready to proceed and install Jabber Software from the Campus Software Library  and requires NetID login and password to download.  See screen shot below for the options, Macintosh or Windows software only.
