PC’s, Laptops, Macs and other network connected devices that are not purchased and approved by SMPH IIT are not allowed on SMPH networks due to UW Madison and SMPH restrictive data and HIPAA security policies.
SMPH IIT recognizes that there are specific cases when a lab instrument purchase includes network devices that are not approvable by SMPH IIT for use on Clinical networks. For these cases, separate, non-clinical networks are available to connect these devices to, but strict guidelines must be met in order to be approved to connect the device to these networks. In order to request that a non-supported device be placed on a SMPH network the following form must be filled out and submitted.
